The Governmental Affairs Committee is responsible for staying current with federal and state government legislation and regulations, assisting with the development of NJAPSE’s position on government issues and being the advocacy voice for Employment First. The committee is responsible for preparing comments that represent NJAPSE during periods of pubic comments and at public forums as well as educating the NJAPSE Board and chapter members on governmental issues.
The Professional Development Committee is responsible for designing and implementing the events held by NJAPSE including but not limited to the Facing the Future Conference, Community Conversation, the Summer Training series and other events as determined.
The Membership and Outreach Committee is responsible for outreach to the NJAPSE Membership, potential future members, and other stakeholders about upcoming events and activities related Supported Employment and Transition as well as acknowledging and welcoming new members. This committee also maintains, updates, and monitors the NJAPSE.com website, Face Book and other marketing materials for NJAPSE.
